WINDOWS TEST CHECKLIST — test build 0.3
Tested 10 October 2026 in UTM: Windows 11 Home ARM64, one 800x600 display.
ARM64 executable ran natively. Results combine 0.2 renderer/import testing
with 0.3 installation and settings-window fixes. Renderer/data format unchanged.

PASS
- Configure opens without missing DLLs.
- x64 build also opens, loads the saved 25 intentions, renders its collection
preview and exits back to settings under Windows ARM x64 emulation.
This is not a substitute for testing on Intel/AMD hardware.
- Sample and saved-collection fullscreen previews draw and animate.
- Keyboard exit returns to settings normally.
- Real widget HTML backup imports and renders its saved intention.
- A 25-entry JSON backup imports and survives closing/reopening settings.
- Invalid JSON is rejected without replacing the saved collection.
- Accented text and curly punctuation render.
- Larger collections cycle through different groups.
- 0.3 settings window fits fully above the taskbar at 800x600.
- 0.3 Install for this Windows user selects Manifestation Station in
Windows Screen Saver Settings; thumbnail renders.
- Actual idle activation works at a one-minute wait.
- 0.3 remained animated for more than seven minutes of actual idle playback.
Display sleep was temporarily extended to 10 minutes for this check; the
earlier black screen at five minutes was the configured display timeout.

LIMITATIONS / STILL TO TEST
- Some emoji render as missing-glyph squares (documented in README).
- Intel/AMD hardware and Windows 10 not tested.
- Secure lock/resume, multiple monitors and mixed display scaling not tested.
- Mouse/click exit, reduced-motion persistence, and uninstall need further
manual coverage. Core motion/data tests pass on the development Mac.
- A successful preview alone is not evidence of automatic idle behavior.

The downloaded build is unsigned and triggers Windows security prompts.
Only the specific locally built test executable was approved; SmartScreen
remained enabled. An old copy transferred from the test ISO was read-only;
clearing that file attribute allowed the update to replace it.
